The Specifics.

The Approach

I am what is known as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. This simply means I use a number of different therapeutic approaches, ( psychodynamic, person centred, cognitive behavioural and adlerian) where each person is viewed as an individual with different needs from the therapy process.

By making use of significant  memories, and relationships you can gain a deeper understanding of where problem thought patterns, behaviours and feelings originate. It is not about changing the past but talking through, and deciding if moving on is the right or wrong thing to do.

I work on a short term, and open ended basis.

I draw on experience from working in the public, private and charity sectors. I  have worked as a counselling lecturer, and have also been a trustee for a large mental health charity.

£70 for Individual Psychotherapy and Counselling. £80 for Couples Relationship Therapy. Please contact me for details of my fees for Hypnotherapy.

I offer structured short-term and long-term (open ended) therapy with individuals and couples.

The First Session

The first session, is an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns, and explore whether the experience and approach I offer, suits you, and the issues you want to work on. We will discuss any questions or concerns you have about starting therapy, and what you may want to achieve.

If we decide that we are to work together, we will arrange a regular time, and day to meet.
