£80 for Individual Psychotherapy and Counselling. £90 for Couples Relationship Therapy. Please contact me for details of my fees for Hypnotherapy.

​The First Session

The first session, is an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns, and explore whether the experience and approach I offer, suits you, and the issues you want to work on. We will discuss any questions or concerns you have about starting therapy, and what you may want to achieve. 

 

The Approach

The approach is supportive and non-judgmental. During our initial sessions, we will delve  into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. 

 

I use a number of different therapeutic approaches, psychodynamic, person centred, cognitive behavioural and adlerian where each person is viewed as an individual with different needs from the therapy process. ​

 

​I draw on experience from working in the public, private and charity sectors. I  have worked as a counselling lecturer, and have also been a trustee for a large mental health charity. 

 

How Long will the therapy last?

​That will depend upon a number of factors which we will discuss in our first session. Some clients choose time limited counselling, whilst others prefer more open-ended therapy. This all depends on what you wish to explore and the depth you wish to work at. Some clients come to work through issues to get some understanding as to what’s ‘going on’ in their world and might take 6 or more sessions to work through this. Some clients wish to explore not just one issue but their wider life experience. In this case therapy might be more open ended.​​

Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Independent Practitioner to Level 5 CPCAB
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level 4 CPCAB

Diploma in Hypnotherapy (Academy of Advanced Change Work)

Certificate in Business Coaching

Certificate in Eye Movement Therapy (EMDR)

Certificate in Psychosexual Studies (Centre for Psychosexual Health)

Certificate in Couples Counselling (Counselling Works Ltd)

As well as the above, I have attended many hundreds of hours of training to enhance my development as a therapist.
